Our COVID-19 policies
The safety of our patients, staff and community are of paramount importance to us. We have implemented several changes to our policies on the recommendation of our Provincial Health Officer, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and WorkSafeBC.
Here are some of the changes you will see on your next visit to the clinic:
All staff will be monitoring their health and screening for COVID-19 symptoms prior to each shift. We will be doing phone screenings prior to your appointment as well as upon arrival at the clinic.
Appointments will be longer duration to encourage physical distancing. According to WorkSafeBC regulations, our clinic has an occupancy limit of 10 people. Online booking has been disabled as we need to do a phone screening prior to booking appointments.
Telehealth appointments are still available and encouraged if possible.
We will ask you to wash your hands or use the provided hand sanitizer when you arrive. Hand sanitizer will be available at any time during the treatment and as you are leaving the clinic.
Face Protection: Staff and clients are required to wear a protective face mask at all times. We are asking patients to please bring their own masks, but if you don’t have a mask, we will provide you with a complimentary one.
Arrival at the clinic:
We ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment to avoid crowding the waiting room area. Please visit our clinic alone as we are trying to maintain physical distancing as much as possible. When you have been checked in for your appointment, you will be shown to a private treatment room to wait for your practitioner.
All contact surfaces in rooms will be sanitized prior to each appointment. All magazines and unnecessary furnishings have been removed from the waiting room and treatment rooms.
We are currently allowing limited gym usage with COVID-19 protocols in place.
We would appreciate if payment can be made by contactless credit/debit card if possible. We ask patients provide their extended health plan information to our receptionist prior to their appointment over the phone if possible.
The public washroom will be available primarily for hand washing and therefore we would encourage you to use the toilet in the comfort of your home prior to attending the clinic, if possible.
We will have leniency in our 24-hour cancellation policy towards illness related to potential COVID-19 symptoms.
Thank you for your understanding during these interesting times!
